Description
The Mackinaw River, a tributary of the Illinois River, is located in central Illinois. It is 129 miles in length and has a drainage area of approximately 1,150 square miles. Its major tributaries include Panther Creek and Mud Creek. The Mackinaw River flows west through four counties before draining to the Illinois River near Mapleton.
