Abstract:
Since October 1985, the Illinois EPA has routinely monitored streams throughout Illinois for commonly used herbicides and pesticides. Atrazine was the most commonly detected herbicide and was present in 71.4 percent of the samples, followed by metolachlor, cyanazine, alachlor, metribuzin and trifluralin.
