- Critical Trends Assessment Program (CTAP)
- The Critical Trends Assessment Program (CTAP) is a long-term endeavor, which monitors the condition of forests, wetlands, grasslands, and streams throughout the state of Illinois.
- Illinois River Ecosystem Restoration
- The US Army Corps of Engineers and the Illinois Department of Natural Resources are jointly working on a number of ecosystem restoration efforts in the Illinois River Basin. Two of the major efforts are the Illinois River Ecosystem Restoration Study and the Illinois River Basin Restoration (Section 519).
