Description
The Fox watershed in northeastern Illinois and southeastern Wisconsin is part of the Illinois River basin. With drainage from 11 Illinois counties, the Illinois portion of the watershed has a total area of approximately 1,720 square miles. Agriculture is the primary use of land within the watershed, but there are many urban and residential areas predominantly in the eastern portion of the watershed and along the Fox River.
