Description
Macoupin Creek, a tributary of the Illinois River, is located in west-central Illinois. It is 100 miles in length and has a drainage area of approximately 970 square miles. Its major tributaries include Hodges Creek and Taylor Creek. Macoupin Creek flows west through four counties before draining to the Illinois River near Hardin.
